Who treats veins at FCCI
First Coast Cardiovascular Institute says its Vein Clinic is the only vein clinic in Northeast Florida to house a team of board certified endovascular and vascular physicians. That means the people looking at your legs are doctors who spend their days on blood vessels, not a general cosmetic office.
The vein team also sits inside a bigger group. FCCI's cardiovascular, sleep medicine, wound care and pulmonary specialists are under the same roof. That matters when leg symptoms turn out to come from something else.

Which physician you see depends on your symptoms, your schedule and your office. The front desk at 904.493.3333 can match you.

Why a vascular doctor, not just a spa
Spider veins can be cosmetic. Aching, swollen or heavy legs can be something more. FCCI notes that chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) is often mistaken for plain varicose veins, yet it can involve hereditary factors, hormones, trauma or a past deep vein thrombosis. Left untreated, CVI can lead to swelling (edema), serious infections of the lower legs and blood clots.
A vascular physician looks at the whole picture. FCCI describes a full assessment of your risk factors, signs and symptoms, beyond your vein health. If testing shows your veins are fine, FCCI's other specialists can look for the real cause.
Languages and bedside manner
Dr. Khatib also speaks Arabic and French. Dr. Tabet is fluent in English, French and Arabic and is known on his FCCI profile for a thoughtful bedside manner and a love of teaching. If language matters for you or a parent, say so when you call and the team will tell you who fits.
Most new patients start with a phone call to 904.493.3333, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
